Hey everyone!
I had a really fun time visiting folks at Magfest and it's been a really eventful week. I got to meet a lot of amazing people and am left with a heavy heart to have to see them go. BUT I will hopefully see them again in the near future, so that's something exciting to look forward to.
I'm home now and am ready to get started with my new year plans. I haven't really said much since I posted in October, but I have a lot of ideas that I want to set in place for the year, like focusing more on my social media and art gallery presence. I also want to focus more on my twitch streaming. I managed to start up a regular schedule last year, but really want to vamp things up. I'll be working on my usual work load, Patreon rewards and the likes, but will be trying my best to be timely with my work projects and work more on personal projects so it doesn't seem like I'm only working or eventually tire myself out. I know I'm going to have to beat myself up a bit to get things started, but I am really optimistic for this year. I have a lot of folks who are supportive and want to see me succeed, so hopefully I can achieve everything by the end of the year.
I'm excited and hope you are, too.

90s/00s Kid
I thought I was someone that didn't really fall for fads, but after taking a minute to look up various fads from my childhood, I realize that I might have gotten into a few of them. I think I had a lot of toys you'd expect a 90s/00s kid to have. My toybox and shelf were lined with the standard wares: a Furby that would talk in the middle of the night, a set of Spice Girls Barbie dolls that smelled heavily of plastic and hairspray, and a handful of Polly Pockets just to name a few. Like a lot of kids at the time, I also collected a lot of Beanie Babies. If you don't know what they are, they're basically these tiny plush animals that aren't stuffed primarily with standard polyester filling. Instead they have these beans in their legs and bottoms to weigh them down, so when you toss them they flop with a lot of weight and shift around in a satisfying way between your hands. I remember my babysitter having her own giant collection of bears and telling me how their value would go up

Story by @JessaMar Connie had always been given to nostalgia, even for things that she hadn’t actually experienced the first time. Swing music from the 1940s, old farmhouses, rotary telephones, and fashion from the 1920s or 1960s; it all resonated for her as strongly as the TV shows from her own childhood. She met Phil at a friend's cookout, and didn’t expect that they would hit it off. He worked with computers and spoke eagerly about the latest gadgets; Connie used modern technology willingly enough, but she didn’t find anything exciting about it. But Phil didn’t look askance at the hat she wore, and when she talked about her favorite songs he immediately looked them up on his phone. Then he pulled out a bluetooth speaker so that they could listen together, and she was tickled to see that it was fashioned to look like an antique radio. When the virus hit, it was easy enough for Connie to embrace new old-fashioned habits: baking bread, fermenting food, and narrowing her focus to
Game Night
The most fun I have ever had gaming would have to be the game nights I have had over the years with friends. It doesn't matter where I was in my life, I had an opportunity to escape with video games. Nights of sleepovers when times were more simple, my friends and I would pack up our consoles and set up for a sleepless night dedicated to games. Whether we were looking to save Peach in another castle or were collecting jiggies with Banjo and Kazooie, it was an adventure for us to share and explore. As the years went on and as we grew older, technology grew up with us. Sleepless nights were still the same with faces lit by monitors in dark bedrooms hundreds of miles away from one another, connected across webs of networks. We spent hours rushing the other team's base to capture their flag or be the last one standing in an arena full of players we'd argue were cheating with an unending list of bots. At an age where there was a lot of uncertainty and confusion, we'd find comfort with
